Eastland Group returns as Expo sponsor

East Coast Farming Expo, Wairoa A&P Showgrounds, 11-12 April 2018.

The Eastland Group returns as a strategic sponsor of the East Coast Farming Expo this year, and chief executive Matt Todd said the company was excited to be involved.

The April 2018 event will again be hosted by the Wairoa A&P Society at the Wairoa Showgrounds. It will provide an exclusive and specialised environment for farmers and landowners to explore new ideas for sheep and beef farming in the region.

“We’re delighted to be a strategic sponsor of the Expo for the second year running,” Mr Todd said.

“We believe the Expo’s focus on innovation can be of genuine value to both the farming community and the region as a whole.”

Eastland Group will showcase Electric Village at the Expo.

“Electric Village, at 37 Gladstone Road in Gisborne, is a New Zealand-first community space focusing on emerging energy technologies. We’ll be bringing Electric Village on the road to Wairoa, giving farmers the chance to have conversations about electric vehicles, electric bikes and farm bikes, our solar research trials, and also possible savings on their power bills.

“And we look forward to hearing how they envisage their businesses being powered into the future.”

The other strategic sponsors for the event are the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council and Rural News Group.

Event Director Dave Martin said the level of support from sponsors and exhibitors shows how important the Expo is to businesses and farmers alike.

“It’s an event where innovation and technology know-how can be shared with those who will benefit from it the most.”

Tickets for the East Coast Farming Expo will be available online closer to the event, as well as gate sales on both days.
