Scholarship an added bonus for top accounting students

Eastland Group is proud to help make it happen for the careers of local students.

Two young Gisborne accounting students – Ashley Haddad and Bayley Taylor-Law – have been awarded Gisborne/East Coast Financial Assistance Fund scholarships for 2017.

They are entitled to financial assistance worth up to $3000 to study to become a Chartered Accountant, an Associate Chartered Accountant or an Accounting Technician.

The assistance fund is backed by local Chartered Accountant firms Graham & Dobson, Coates Associates and Flavell and Chamberlain. Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and infrastructure company Eastland Group also contribute.

Ashley works Chrisp and Davidson Chartered Accountants, while Bayley is at BDO Gisborne Chartered Accountants. Both are studying at EIT Tairawhiti.

To be eligible, students must be from the Gisborne/East Coast region.
