Maintenance Update

Eastland Port will be undertaking major underwater repairs on wharf 8 from June 1 to June 20. Check back here at 4pm for daily updates.

Sunday 13th June

The divers took a beating yesterday arvo, the long period swell bounced off the training wall giving them a double hit. The swell looks to continue through this week which will have an impact on the finish date – we will update you on this tomorrow.

Despite the surging conditions and poor visibility (20cm) the guys are still looking to get in a full row of shutters by the end of today, this will be a great effort with all that’s happening.

Shipping is again tricky because we have to move partly loaded ships at an exact time. With this long period swell (14-16 seconds) it may mean shuffling the order of ships to suit the conditions so we can load through the night.

Cart-in re-opens tomorrow morning at 04:00am.

Check out the pictures of the shutters going in today.

Thanks all for the support and as always, any questions let us know.
