As the providers of vital infrastructure for our region – the electricity network, the port, and the airport – Eastland Group is committed to commercial excellence, economic development and regional prosperity.
Every year we deliver real benefits to our local community. Our annual dividend to the Eastland Community Trust (ECT) is substantial and this directly benefits the community in the form of grants distribution by the Trust.
There are other flow-ons too. Eastland Group spent a total of $8.2 million on wages in 2015, and a further $24.2 million on local goods and services.
We also sponsor events, clubs and business initiatives, including Gisborne Speedway and Gisborne Chamber of Commerce. We offer tertiary scholarships to Eastland region engineering and accounting students and we actively encourage our employees to be involved in a wide range of community activities.
Here at Eastland Group, our strategic plan outlines a two-fold commitment.
